CARE is a leading international humanitarian organization fighting global poverty and injustice, with a special focus on working with women and girls. Founded in 1949, CARE Bangladesh is one of CARE’s oldest and largest country offices.

Placing women and girls at the centre of CARE work enables us to tackle the root causes of poverty and inequity in Bangladesh. Reaching millions of beneficiaries, we strengthen marginalized, excluded and extremely poor communities in rural and urban areas, building their resilience to shocks and amplifying their voices to create lasting change.

CARE work over 100 partners in government, civil society and the private sector to improve livelihoods and household security, health and hygiene, nutrition and governance, foster small enterprise, reduce disaster and climate risk, and respond in emergencies.

DAM Foundation for Economic Development (DFED) has been implementing SHOUHARDO 3 project of CARE with the management support of Dhaka Ashania Mission since November 2015.
