With the view to implement Shariah Compliance Islami Microfinance in DFED, a two days’ workshop held on November 22-23, 2018 at Dhaka Ahsania Mission Head Office Auditorium. Different level field staff and Head Office official took part in the workshop. Resource Person from Ahsania Hajj Mission moderated the session of workshop. The micro-finance programme (MFP) of DAM Foundation has been contributing significantly in improving economic and social conditions of many poor families in Bangladesh though financing their economic activities and supporting establishing small and medium enterprises. The present system of DAM’s micro-finance is based on conventional financing system by charging fixed rate service charges. The main objective of the workshop was to replace conventional microfinance system to shariah based Islamic microfinance across DFED. Honorable DAM President Qazi Rafiqul Alam was present in the workshop as guest of honor. DAM General Secretary ASM Khalilur Rahman and DAM Executive Director Dr. M. Ehsanur Rahman also took part in the workshop. Md. Asaduzzaman, General Manager/Joint Director and Head of DFED facilitated the workshop. A target is set in the workshop to implement Sariah Based Islamic Microfinance across the DFED by 2020.
